Diversity and inclusion is high up on our Julian House strategy and we are working hard to implement changes at all levels, in everything we do, from the client work our project team deliver, to our Learning & Development opportunities and a lot of work has been done to address this at the recruitment stage.
Laura and Danielle, our Employee and Volunteer Recruitment Specialists, are working hard to continuously improve what we have in place to ensure we never stop reflecting.
Our Board of Trustees have approved Julian House Equality and Diversity plan which can be accessed here, it shows the breath of activities we are taking to address it at all levels, and in everything we do.

Inclusion & Diversity Champions
We have an Inclusion & Diversity Champions group at Julian House. This is a group of employees who feel passionate about Inclusion & Diversity.
Together, their role is to work on the Julian House Equality & Diversity action plan.
What we are working on right now
- Delivering mandatory EDI training every quarter
- We are continuing to work on all Julian House processes to make them more inclusive, which has included each team creating a local equality action plan
- Implement Transitioning & Trans policy to support colleagues and clients.

With our People Strategy we aim to foster a culture within Julian House which is inclusive and sets high expectations for the important work we do.
We are creating a culture where our people’s wellbeing is at the heart of our decision-making. A culture where we work together as one team, and where everybody is supported effectively in their roles throughout their career with us.
